Eddie grew up in an immigrant family where success meant becoming a doctor, lawyer, or engineer. At just 12 years old, he declared he would become an emergency trauma surgeon — a dream he pursued until a medical apprenticeship at Harvard University opened his eyes to a surprising truth: he didn’t want to be a doctor after all.

Eddie’s journey showed him firsthand how critical early career exploration is. He's an Eagle Scout, a Zillenial, and a longtime mentor who’s spent over a decade building career exploration and company culture programs. Before founding Future Gen, he flew across the country supporting mergers, acquisitions, and cost-saving projects — but his real passion has always been helping others answer one question: "What do you want to do in the future?"

That passion is deeply personal. Inspired by his little brother — smart, funny, musically gifted, but often unsure of his potential — Eddie built CareerAtlas as the tool he wished they both had growing up. Today, his brother is preparing to study Data Science for college — a reminder that when young people have the right tools, they can discover a future they’re excited about.

There are over 17 million high schoolers across the United States, and 3.7M graduate every year. Let's make, "What do you want to do in the future?" fun again. If you'd like to connect or follow Eddie’s journey building in public, you can find him on socials as "Eddie the Career Guy."
